    Grain Mills

I've used a Corona mill for about 2 yrs. now and had great beer from it. It's been modified like Wilserbrewers and couldn't be happier.

    First cider batch

I use apple pie spice in secondary and it turns out great. Just be careful when adding any spices a little goes a long way, you can always add more but can't remove it.

    Bench Capper vs Hand Capper

I looked thru 2nd hand stores until I found a vintage bench capper ( It didn't take very long). A little clean up and it works perfectly, is all metal nothing gonna break this thing, and only 15.00. One of my best brewing purchases.

    Soda regulators

Yes I did they are working fine. I called Taprite and verified that it would work and it did. I changed the gauges to 60# ones and added shut offs with check valves. The hardest thing was ordering the correct nipples to connect them together left hand thread on the hi pressure side.

    True Fridge temp control

Thanks! I've seen the PDF in fact I had it up on my computer when I talked to the support people at True. I'm happy to learn the altitude adjustment will work I thought it would but it's great to get your feedback. By the way I'm in the process of setting up two under counter fridges for...

    True Fridge temp control

I'm in the process of converting a True 2 door fridge into a kegerator. Right now the warmest it can get it to stabilize at is 34.5 degrees, I talked with the manufacture and they weren't exactly helpful. I don't think they understood what I was trying to accomplish. I'd like to maintain 38F...

Help me decide wether to bottle or keg

I've been brewing for a little over a year and have just now bought all the gear to start Kegging. I don't mind bottling at all but am tired of the inconsistency with bottling conditioning, most likely my fault but I give most of my beer away and the cost of bottles and hassles of storing...

Different hops at different boil times

Ok I think I understand you can certainly use only one hop or use any hop at any time, but some hops are much cheaper to use as a bittering hop ( long boil time ). Longer boil times do not impart flavor as much as shorter boil times. A good way to learn hop bittering and flavor profiles is to...

Different hops at different boil times

different hops have different AA (Alpha Acids) that add different IBU ( bittering levels) to the finished beer. Longer boil times with high alpha hops add more bittering IBU's. Shorter boil times are for flavor and aroma. This is a very basic explanation to the question as always further info is...

    Soda regulators

I guess what I'm wondering is can I get a rebuild kit for a beer regulator and rebuild the soda regulators into beer regulators. Might be a question for Taprite I guess. I've seen the soda regulators on Ebay cheap enough that rebuilding would make sense if it would work correctly, and I'd gain...

    Soda regulators

I'm wondering if I can use soda regulators for my secondary regulators? I have a Taprite primary regulator and would couple them together with the appropriate nipple. I know I'd have to add check valves, but i'm seeing them on EBay for very good prices. I'm building a 4 tap kegerator and would...

    John Guest fittings

So the John Guest system will be more reliable than Oetiker Clamps? It seems they would be easier when it came time to change out hoses, but I'm having trouble finding info on their pressure rating and the 3/16 hose for co2.
