Poll: Perlick faucets and sulfur odor or flavor

I have seen some recent threads complaining of sulfur flavors or odors with Perlick faucets. One claiming that it is really common. I have two 525ss and one 630ss. All 3 would be different manufacturing runs. I have not had any issues and really like them. Minimal maintenance, no leaks or anything. NO SULFUR

How do you view them?


Do you get any sulfur odor?
Do you get any sulfur taste?
Do you get both?
Do you get none?

If I remember correctly it was the 650SS model, and the smell supposedly came from the flow control parts.

I have not seen the same complaint's about the 630SS. Don't know anything about the 525SS.

Correct about the problem being limited to the 650SS.

The 525's are great! Mine haven't leaked at all.

The 630's are good, but I sold them to buy 650's.

The 650's were a mistake for me to buy. I got the Sulphur. I soaked them. I still got a light sulphur. I returned them. Not happy.

I now have the Intertap flow controls (bought on ali) and absolutely love them. I've been slowly selling off my 525's. I'll keep a few just in case I decide to build something new, or if a friend needs one.

After reading Day trippers link on another thread its only one the 650's. I have two of the 650's and had there previous model flow control and never had an issue.

I could swear that I read threads that did not specify a particular model of Perlicks, but I have been known to.....
