I did a five gallon batch of German helles and used the california lager yeast. My question is. Is this a slow starter like a regular lager yeast. It's been 3 days at 58-62 and it has just barely started to krausen. Also after I pitched at about 65 I brought the temp down way to far. Say 48-50 for a few hours trying to adjust ice bath temp. Will this hurt anything? Really need this to be good for a Oktoberfest party. Thanks for your input. Cheers
