It's been 4 weeks now and I went downstairs to dryhop my first all grain IPA

Usually after a month the beers are clear on top, this one has all the stuff on the top. I threw my hop baggie in there and came up to write this.

Is the WLP008 East Coast yeast supposed to do this?

If so I guess I'm ok?

I can try to get pics this afternoon, but what gives?

has anyone used this strain before?

Daver, this is nothing to worry about. The krausen doesn't always fall, it's not going to hurt the beer and it won't effect drt hopping. Take a hydro reading if you're worried.

I am using WL008 (East Coast) as well and the Krausen has not completely dropped out as well. Initially it took off (under 12hrs w/ yeast starter) and then settled after 48hrs. I am in the 2+ week in primary and plan on letting it sit for another 2 weeks before kegging/bottling.

I'm going to bottle it next week. I'll let you know how it looks. Also I can always cold crash before bottling as well but by the time I do bottle it would have been in primary 6 weeks.
