After it's done fermenting and at the right ph, my scoby has been real thin lately. I always add a scoby and starter tea at the start. The scoby I add at the beginning is thicker from previous batches. It usually sinks and the new scoby forms on top very thin.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

That actually sounds like exactly what it should do. Don't worry about the sinking SCOBY. The new one sounds perfectly normal.
