I'm getting ready to place an order at morebeer for an IPA kit. I get free shipping if I spend over $59 so I plan to purchase a few extra items...

What things should I always have a little extra of on hand that will keep fairly well?

Light DME? Dry yeast? Priming sugar?

What would you buy?

Light DME is a good idea for yeast starters. Spare airlocks and bungs? Spare hydrometer? Extra tubing?

Star San, bottle caps, hop bags, hops, fining agents. Air locks, tubing, bottle pressure washer, Mail order bride, yeast, racking cane, priMing sugar

S-05 dry yeast packets, Cascade hops, two-row grain, extra bungs and airlocks, extra hydrometer, extra cheap thermometer.

this.
maybe add a small extra bottle of sanitizer.

and it makes a nice glovebox size emergency brewing kit :D

If they offer bulk hops, I would get some and freeze them for future use or dry hopping.

I'll also say dry yeast, S-05 for dryer beers and S-04 for maltier beers and light DME for starters and if you miss your OG. Strip thermometers for all your carboys and buckets and an extra airlock.
