New brewer here, got two (Extract) batches under our belt and looking to add more equipment.
Currently started with a Kit for Christmas that included:
(1) 6.5 gal Cartboy
(1) 5.0 gal Cartboy
other basic accessories that come in these kits
Added:
8 gal Brewkettle with ball-value and Temp gauge
Stainless wort cooler coil
Hydrometer and beckor
2.5 Torpedo keg
Next considerations are:
1) a propane burner for outside brewing (not a necessity as our stove is commercial) but might be good in case of boil-overs since others have said out kettle is too small
2) Temp control for fermentation - small fridge or something that can turn into a kegerator?
3) Super cool 7 gallon conical fermentor from Spike.
Of the next considerations temp control seems the most logical. Looking for versatility so wondering if the same unit that can disperse the final product could be used for fermentation?
Thoughts?
