Physicist for SAIC. I wish I had studied some microbiology in college though. For homebrewing, calculus of variations doesn't cut it. The chemistry I took has been very helpful though. Too soon old, too late smart.

I work Tech Support at one of the big cable companies... So if you cant program your remote or get on the internet, youll be talking to me.

Environmental Engineer by education, currently working in the exciting field of contaminant hydrogeology / site investigation. Planning on going back to graduate school in a year and a half for groundwater engineering.

I moonlight as a connoisseur of fine beers + cheeses, pro dancer, gourmet chef, kettlebell swinger, and extreme skier.

Good luck. I worked for NT until 11 years ago, much of it was in implementation and systems engineering. I work for Motorola now, but have occasionally continued to work with those same Wireless GSM switches in our iDEN networks.

Thanks man. NT used to be a great company, sad to see it fall so hard. I used to work with some of the Moto guys when I was out in the field, doing switch expansions on the Nextel account. Used to be a lot of fun. Nextel's(or Sprint) GSM switches are old school now, they're gonna need some upgrading I would think.

I am Field Tech for a Telecommunications Company

Former NT guy too from 96-2000 working in the field on the DMS. I am at Tellabs now still in field after 14 years of telecom work and need to find a nice desk job (even though I do love my midnight shift)

I teach high school English. Is it bad that I keep wanting to borrow (steal) stir plates from the chemistry teacher?

That's awesome! I teach down the road in Washougal...we have a 10 gal stainless steal pot in the break room that I've been eying for a month :)

Let me guess by that statement. I say T-mo

I need to up date this. My wife just convinced me to retire. As of March 1st I'm done. :rockin:

Great! Nice for another brewing brother to join the ranks of the gainfully unemployed! I've been gleefully retired since 1 July 2009, and it's fantastic!

Electrical Engineer doing program management right now. I don't like it, so my company is sending me to grad school, some bs assignment and then Ph.D track. I want to teach Electromagnetics, so in a couple of years I might enjoy my job. For now, it's just okay.

I miss my old job of EM research engineer. Got to learn how to do machining and play with expensive, dangerous toys. Good times. Would be nice to have the machine shop at my disposal still for homebrewing equipment.

Freight Pilot.

If you order something overnight within a 200 mile radius of Salt Lake City, chances are me or my coworkers delivered it. I am at work from 5:30 am till 7:30 PM, which makes brewing or anything nearly impossible during the week. I do have about 7 hours free in the middle of the day where I can work on brewing things as long as it does not involve actual beer. During the week, there is one hour each day I can legally drink a beer. On one run I did there were two hours each day provided I wanted to drink from 8am to 9am. Needless to say this job negatively affects my Quality of Life and ability to enjoy my brewing efforts. At least there are the weekends.

Graduated last month with a BA in Information Technology and Informatics. Right now a Monster.com surfer and interviewer, and working on a little website I hope might bring in some bucks.

Union finish carpenter looking for work in Seattle. :( Trying to finish my apprenticeship. Economy is sucking these days.

Nah I am at Tellabs right now, but know enough T-Mo guys in the chicago area. I just need to get off the road was all I was saying :mug:

Yeah all the t-mo techs have been on that same crazy schedule with us included. A bunch of night cutovers. I hope you get you time off. All that night work will wear on ya.
