I have a bottle of that. Was thinking I might age it some.Rinsing out the MOTL with some Treehouse Tree of Life BW. Not sure if I'm gonna make an early tee time tomorrowView attachment 741881
Glad to hear I didnāt do too bad with your recipe. Iāve noticed an ashy/ burnt flavor in many of my stout attempts lately. Donāt know if itās water, mashing for full time, maltster or what. My most recent stout is just ok, but nothing Iām crazy about and definitely nothing like my goal of Guinness. The name āShielbagganā on my label is the region in southeastern Ireland in County Wexford near Ramsgrange where my great-great grandfather was born.Irish Stout courtesy of @camonick . A first for me, my own recipe brewed by another brewer! Nice balance between the roast, dark coffee and chocolate. A bit more "burnt" on the backend than my tastebuds remember from my version, but excellent overall. And a much better name and label View attachment 741883
Good fresh. Let it warm up if aged. Kinda heavy and warmth rounds it's out. Got some odd flavors when chilled
I absolutely love Curmudgean's Better Half BBA Old Ale. Never had just Curmudgeans though. Would be great to try them side by side.
