Had one too many Great Lakes Oktoberfest last night. Woke up more sluggish than normal. Coffee is helping but its going to be a day. This is a Thursday, right?

Coffee & water.

Mattmmille...I really do need to get you some of my beer. I've been a slack.

Coffee. Working the early shift today for deployment. Next couple weeks are going to be a bit hairy, but I just found out I get a longer stay at home this weekend and I think my wife is joining me in Austin next weekend.

Trying to figure out what I can brew with this unexpected time...Found a place relatively close that sells unpasteurized cider, so maybe some wild cider.

Coffee-

Last night i think i got enough extra lumber together to make a 3 tier brew stand- so thats fun

I need to source a keg to repurpose into a boil kettle- i called a distro in town and asked if i could buy a keg for the deposit- they said its illegal? not sure if thats true, anyone know? i might try another and see what they say- i think the deposit is still $30- but i havent bought a half barrel in prolly 6 years. (college)- oh porjects.

Coffee.

I hate winter but I think I need it to get here. I have found myself smoking cigars in the evening during the week (I never do that). The cold weather cures me of that bad habit for a few months every year.

I've got a 1/4 barrel in my garage (10 years old) and just cannot decide what I want to do with it.

EDIT: that thing is only about 8 gallons, right?

You would have to purchase a full keg and drink it. And yes it is technically illegal to deface that keg or keep it. Its property of the brewery or keg company they work with.

I hate when I quote someone and the original doesn't get quoted...then my reply looks like some random crap a homeless person might mutter to himself out loud while walking down a city street. And I couldn't figure out how to delete the whole thing, so instead, I'm editing, erasing and writing this ramble. There. That's better. Let's make another cup of coffee....

Twist my arm! :cross: I still have plenty of both Hi Nelson and Citra Saison. Do you like still cider?
Still on coffee this morning.

Water. I walked my dog today and this lady stops with her dog, basically steps off the curb which is right on a busy busy street, and waves me by. As I come by my dog, who is a licker, goes towards her and she rushes down the side of the curb with her dog. I tell her my dog is friendly while keeping my dog on a short lead due to her clear fear. Then she says, "a pit bull will never be friendly, you have a time bomb in your hands." I immediately got mad because I get the breed issues, but my dog is a staffordshire terrier/boxer mix which makes her a cousin of a pit and hardly a time bomb. She is a plain ignorant *****. I told her to move along because I will likely bite her before my dog ever will. She's totally entitled to her opinion and should be able to walk without my dog trying to lick her leg (because my dog does that as you walk by her), but she could have been nicer.

Ugh. I don't know why everybody feels like, just because they have a right to free speech, that they need to open their mouths and display their ignorance and bitchy attitude. I have always had a thing against pit bulls because they are bred to fight and can be dangerous; however, I now own a mix breed that is mostly pit bull and she is the sweetest thing ever! People that take their dogs to public places and let them off their leashes are MY pet peeve...but I rarely confront someone, unless their dog runs at me or my wife/kids. I try not to stick my nose in other peoples business, unless they are infringing on MY rights. And, while that woman had a right to speak, that doesn't mean she gets a pass on getting an earful back in response.

Not drinking anything...at the moment.

Water. Gym time.

Buddy just scooped-up 6 kegs, regulator and gas tank for me. It's on!

There is a lot of breed ignorance. Pits are often the sweetest dogs, Heck if you want a aggressively mean dog look to breeds like dalmations and poodles. Poodles are vicious little bastards.

Ugh. I would pet your pup. (that sounds rather inappropriate, now doesnt it)

I have been up since yesterday morning, 475 miles towards Denver. Time for a random casino stop!

Starbucks Double Shot.

Nice!

Up for 20 hours yesterday, but got to get out and had a RDIPA at jagged mountain, followed by a few Odell's at my brother's house.
Coffee time, and hitting up crooked stave this evening.

Just got a ticket to the Saturday members only afternoon session dropped in my lap. Wasn't planning on going this year, but SWMBO said 'have fun, call me from the light rail station when you need a ride home.' Woo Hoo!!

Congratulations! You're now dead to me. ;)

Yes, you will be pouring me lots and lots of beer. I'll have my DD with me. :D

You're bringing your dungeons & dragons to an Oktoberfest?! I think you might regret that decision! :D

More water here, because it is a Thursday. In PA. 1,700 miles from all the fun at GABF...

B-52 in Conroe. I'll be pouring that day

Perfect place to be this weekend. The weather should be great. We were thinking about going to Greek fest on Saturday but drinking beer sounds way better than drinking ouzo.
I wish I still had some of my saison left to share with y'all. After all b-52 saison happened to be my gateway beer into that style.

Lot of people said that. Every weekend people asked for it. I'll enjoy getting together and sharing some HB. I got a bunch I need to share and drink

Not to worry, if he ends up losing his 20 sided dice he can replace it at the renaissance fest that starts up the following weekend.

there are only 2 breeds of dog I don't trust: Chows and Sharpei. they tend to bond to 1 person (not 1 family) then spend the rest of their lives guarding them. and they also tend to act friendly then bite when you get close. and maybe that ******* should have met our pit. she was the sweetest damn dog I've ever met. her opinion was based on ignorant media fear and nothing more.

I've had super-friendly pitbulls and rottweilers. Had a chow when I was 8 or 9, thing was vicious.

Ever met a friendly Doberman? HELL NAW

Post-workout water. Smashed.

My one future brother in law had a Doberman that was awesome. He was huge and would follow everyone around. Friendly as hell.

Thinking its time for another coffee.
