I brewed an Oatmeal Brown Ale today and I got some weird gravity readings. At least, I feel like they are weird.

And my post boil gravity was 1.060

This is slightly higher than what the recipe calls for but what really had me stumped was the first runnings at over 1.100.
Does that sound right?

Yes. Your first runnings will be very concentrated. I would not be worried by the small amount over on OG.

What was your water/grist ratio? Was your preboil gravity correct? I've never had first runnings that high, but if your pre and post boil numbers are ok, then I wouldn't worry too much.

It was basically 1 quart per pound for the first runnings.
My pre and post boil volumes are pretty close to what they should be.
I've just never seen my hydrometer read that high.
It is fermenting away so apparently everything went okay.
