Hi all,

I have started looking into how to read water reports and make adjustments, but am pretty overwhelmed at all of it so far. I was hoping someone could take a look at the numbers my town provided me with and let me know if there are any glaring adjustments I should make in the meantime before I get more comfortable with this aspect of brewing:

pH 7.1
Hardness: 65.9 ppm
Fluoride 1.0
Nitrate (NO3-N) 0.9
Nitrite (NO2-N) ND
Sodium 34
Hardness 66
Alkalinity 55
Calcium 19
Magnesium 4.7
Chloride 73
Copper 0.038
Iron 0.10
Manganese 0.016
Potassium 29
Silver ND
Sulfate 16.1
Total Dissolved Solids 234
Turbidity 0.28
Zinc 0.035

Thanks in advance

Read the Water Primer...that will help you loads. Then download a water calculator, such as Bru'n Water or EZ Water Calc. You can plug your numbers in, and get a good idea what you need to change.

That said, you've got some pretty nice water to start with.
