First, the Strip has a very weak beer selection. Bmcs, SNPA, Sam Adams, sometimes Fat Tire. I definitely acquired a new appreciation for SNPA, must be a lot fresher there. When I've tried it here (Minnesota), there is almost no hops whatsoever.
The Burger Bar on the second floor of Mandalay Bay has a wicked good selection. I tried Dfh 60 and 90(tasted like barley wine?). Also something called Hop Ride I think? Free samples of everything are available. Most taps and bottles of any place I've been. Cheaply priced by Vegas standards.
My wife was shopping in the Miracle Mile mall in Planet Hollywood when we stumbled across a sweet little hole in the wall. Sin City Brewing company has a nice little 8 seater bar with 4 of their beers on tap. The pilsner was great. The amber, meh. Had to buy a tee because their logo reminds me of my wife (devilish little redhead).
Lastly, I wish in any city you could stop in a convenience store, buy a 24 oz. SNPA for 3 bucks, and walk all over with it.
