About 10-11 months ago I made an 8 litre batch of barley wine that I sorta just left hanging around in the apartment. What can I say, I'm lazy. Anyways, I bottled a pale ale that I used WLP001 in today and left about 1-2 litres of beer on top of the yeast cake.

Can I scoop up some of that yeast, toss it in the bw with priming sugar and bottle? If so, how much?

I don't see why not. I would only use about a teaspoon because: 1. You are not trying to ferment anything but a little but of priming sugar. 2. You don't want a ton of stuff in the bottom of your bottles. 3. It's fresh, healthy yeast.

But I keg, so wtf do I know?

What is the ABV? (recipe might be nice)

If it is double the pale ale, then the yeast will likely not have time to scream before they go into an alcohol induced coma.
