I am playing with a recipe and thinking about using Merkur (Hallertauer Merkur) as a flavor addition around 15min. I have read conflicting takes on it as an aroma hop.

Anyone use it like this and what are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I use it in a "German IPA" that I brew. I really like it! But it definitely is funky. Id say give it a shot!

Thanks Kev! funky like dank or something else? one comment I got was to expect a mint aspect if I use it around 15min

Ya I guess I can see where the mint comment would come from. Its more like the essence of mint I guess haha. I would describe the funk as being very earthy and vegetal
