haha, this was the first time I tried it, mostly just to see if the string thing actually worked. Well, it did, just poorly. They're not going to be glasses anyway, they're being used for candles. I am sure I could get better at it, but this method my not be the key...but yes, very ****ty job

I also think I may be able to grind them down to straight if I tried. Though, I am no tool expert at tools.

I never got the string to work but a $30 glass cutter worked well.

I ended up using like 5 strings one after the other to get it to pop. But a glass cutter may be on the shopping list. Though I don't know if I could use it for anything else. But heck, it's not that pricey.
