A couple batches in on my Porter recipe and I am having trouble with it. It has a decent finish but not nearly enough "body" up front. Here is the recipe, any recommendations???

6 lb. Pale Malt Extract (liquid)
1/2 lb Carafa 2
1 lb 80 Crystal Malt
1/2lb Victory Malt
1/2 lb flake oats
1/2 lb flaked barley
½ lb roasted barley
3lb light honey
1 oz. Perles
2 oz. Fuggles
1 tsp. Irish Moss
Irish Ale Yeast

Are you doing a partial mash? If not, that could be your problem. The flaked oats, flaked barley, and Victory malts all need to be mashed - steeping is not going to really get you much out of them, except perhaps some haze.

Also, the 3lbs of honey is going to thin the body out quite a bit.

+1 on the honey. Im not a fan of it myself, especially if all you want to do is add a honey flavor. It completely ferments out.
