Time to Boil 6 Gallons

Is it normal for a full boil with 6 gallons to take about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes to reach a rolling boil?

It all depends on what your heat source. I don't think my stovetop could boil 6 gallons in less than a day.

I would say that is not normal

Definitely depends what you're boiling on. Takes me about 20min on my propane burner.

I get there in about 15 on my outdoor fryer

Not normal for a properly powered and adjusted burner. Normal for a stove top maybe depending on stove top.

Takes about 45 minutes for my stovetop to bring 3.5 gallons to a full boil.
The pot is a canning pot, and a single burner can't keep up a rolling boil, so it does a little better if I let it straddle two burners.

About a half hour for me for the same amount, and I spread my pot over two burners. I can't imagine how long 6gal would take.

Next on my equipment list is a turkey fryer.

do you have well water? the water temp will also be a factor.

I have to put my pot over two burners at once on my gas stove but I get 6-7 gallons to boil in ~30 min

It seems that if you cover the pot, 6 gallons boils a lot quicker...who knew?

It took for-EVER on my stove. Nowhere near that long on my propane burner.
