Doesn't really matter anyway. I started reading this thread when he started building and then I got in an accident. We should have a race to see what happens first. His oven is finished or my brain is healed enough that I can walk around without looking like this guy --->

Paul, when your contraption becomes a pile of rubble, you might want to consider this.

I had to go back and enjoy the pictures and remember a time when there was progress and I ran across this. Holy crap that is one expensive pizza stone and metal ring. Actually worth maybe $30 bucks on a good day. For the price they want you could go to target and still have $100 or more to spend on brewing.

I really wanted to go with the slate roof but between the trip to Bonaire in a couple weeks and the trip to the Galapagos in September the gods of financial responsibility dictate that we go with a tin roof. I'm having that made up now and then once I get that roof made I can uncover it and start using it

I, personally, am very entertained by this thread.

I love the whole Yankee ingenuity mindset of spending so much time building an oven outside that will be under snow for 9 months of the year.

Well, this year we only had a couple months of snow. All 110 inches of it.

So yeah, he could've made several pizzas this winter. Key word: could've. He just ordered from Domino's.
