Great article experiments with removing break/trub material vs not. Very interesting results. I don't worry about trub. Seems like it's not an issue.

I don't generally worry about trub either. Only when I plan to harvest the yeast do I try to keep as much of the trub out as I can.

I minimize trub to minimize sediment transfer to the keg and to maximize my post-fermentation volume.
