With the price I was gonna pay for the organic C20 I can grab two bags of regular stuff which I'll do. So between that and the completed split order we should still be at 42bag minimum, I hope.

....if this doesnt make the 42 bags, i'm on for the 50% c20....I'll pick up any slack if need be. Just let me know.

OK all - sorry for the hiatus - rents in this weekend so I couldn't comment.

Bigbrew - GW-C15 and a bag of GW-C40 is added for bigbrew as per his PM (he was first in line).

So that leaves 1 space for a bag open with smashing's withdrawal.

i.e. we need one bag - it looked like the c20 split was first to go through - guys please confirm.

Jhenderson
1. c20 (GW-C20) - 1/4 needs 2 people (brewdiver (1/2), Jhenderson (1/4), gergelgat 1/4)

I can't sumbit the order until monday a.m. so please try to get back to me today.

So in short - bigbrew added a bag, and the c20 split appears to be complete first in line.

Let me know if I missed something.

Hi,
Anyone have a mill for sale or great instructions for a project mill?
Thanks,

I just ordered a barley crusher. From what I hear they're great right out of the box, no project needed. Price wasn't too bad and looked better than alternatives.

Sounds good to me. Pull the trigger.

I will submit the order to the buyer this morning (sheet I need to submit is at work). I will let everyone know when the actual pricing comes back. At that point - we can start making the payments for paypal.

Crap guys - just realized - we are a bag short - Smashing was in on a split with wheadman66, so I can't submit this order yet. There is the current listing.

I have you down - will get the quote request out - thanks for being a trooper brewdiver!

Brewdiver what type of white wheat were you looking at (brand) - i.e. BZ-WHT/CM-WHET, etc.?

OK - I am going to put down BZ-WHT for the white wheat split - in effort to get this order quoted - hopefully this is what you are looking for.

Thanks

Alright - due to Smashing dropping out here are the final numbers. Unfortunately for wheadman66, you lost your C60 split since Smashing backed out. Plus side being your bill is a bit smaller than before.

Hi,
Anyone have a mill for sale or great instructions for a project mill?
Thanks,

if you are looking for a how to thread for corona styled mills check out my ugly junk. Of course I linked you into the shot of my ugly junk; i.e. my "grain silo"

Short version is - corona's, barley crushers, monster mills etc all work very well, depends on how much coin you have, have how much effort you are willing to make to adapt a corona mill.

Has NCM given you guys any beef about not getting the 2000lb price break? We just completed our buy and the lady I worked with said since we were homebrewers we werent getting the 2000lb price, just the 1000lb price. But she sent an email earlier saying we would get the price since we were getting a pallet. glad I saved that email.

She said they were getting more and more strigent about us homebrewers

What the heck, we get as much as a small brewpub, just not as often!

Really? that is crap man. If they put the squeeze on us, they will lose the sales that they are getting. our combined buys make a big difference in sale volume...

We haven't heard back on our quote just yet - perhaps we will have to open a company for brewing, get the co tax number so we can avoid getting the shaft....

Hey man - I jsut pmed you - can you send me that email so I can forward to our buyer - to give him a heads up?

They all ready bend us over for shipping... wtf

Here is the final order setup - please check and keep for your records for your splits:

Yeah that was awesome. So do could you tell the difference? And most importantly - is that IPA growing on you?

I love it, and have my batch awaiting a spot in my kegerator....

EDIT: by the way did you do a 90 minute boil? or 60?

60. Hops were amazing. I have always been a floral/fruity hop style guy, this hits the mark. I would only change the dryhopping to only use Citra. But not a single complaint.

awesome - really glad you liked it. I would never recc something I wouldn't want to re-brew myself. See there definitely is a piney bit of hops in there (that I love too). But I like Gin in this summer ;)

so is the citra def worth a try in a brew.. i think when i get enough time i want to a torpedo clone.. i had on the other day.. man that was good... but didnt knwo that it had critra until after, it was hard to think of the taste thinking back.

The citra are absolutely worth it. I liked them so much in the torpedo I dry hopped an amarillo pale ale I did with them - they were great in there too.

The citra are only in the dry hopping - but they are potent and make a big difference. The main hops are cyrstal and magnum. If you like IPAs, and I know you do ;), this recipe is worth a go IMO.

tried some of the Rye IPA last night... right now it is really good, super hoppy, fantastic. It is still about 4 weeks old, so still changing. Man I am glad I went in on 1/2 bag of rye. The columbus hops are really good, and the rye cuts into them to balance the brew. I might have to do a rebrew of this one soon - this is a great beer. Another hoppy sipper.

So if we dont get this buy going and the 6er switch im gonna be drinking your guys beers soon. The red ale is tasty. The IPA like i said is a wonderful ***** slap of hops and the stouts are yum.

haha - you better not! :mug:

Well, down side of that is you won't get all the fun swaps!

I am looking forward to some serious brewing this weekend... I want to go for two batches to get me back on track. With those new kegs, I now can store the beers while they await the pipeline.

Next up on the menu is a blue moon styled witbier - and about 4 others that I want to brew.... Actually I think i might be doing a killian's clone of sorts too - an ale version though.

Not sure if we will make it this week on the grain buy though. Absolutely no chance if all the payments aren't "instant".

PLEASE NOTE:

It would be greatly appreciated if you could try to check HBT at least once a day from now until you hear more information about payment. This will expedite the order. Once the payment is in it usually takes 2-4 days for the order to arrive.

Re: paypal..... if the final cost is more than the pp balance, is a credit card payment available on pp? Im not too familiar w/ pp.

Re: paypal..... if the final cost is more than the pp balance, is a credit card payment available on pp? Im not too familiar w/ pp.

If the final cost is more than the balance, than it will take 3-5 days to transfer.... UNLESS - you set up your paypal account to be bakced up by a credit card. It won't charge your credit card - it WILL make your payment instant. If your checking account falls short (i.e. your checking account has a $0 balnace) of the amount requested, it will charge your credit card the difference. Otherwise it will process with your checking account in 3-5 days - but your money transfer is still instant

Make sense?

i.e. put a credit card on your account as the back up and you will have instant money transfers

How to add a credit card on your paypal for instant transfers (still paying through your checking account):

1. Log in
2. Click on profile - add or edit credit card from drop down menu
3. Choose add and put in a credit card

This will NEVER charge your credit card, unless your transfer is denied by your bank. i.e. your checking account has a o$ balance.

im bottling my smoked rye ipa this weekend (1st run so comments from this would be grand) but this might give me enough time to get my six pack together for you guys! this one ill give you but just would need to sit for 2-3 weeks to carb-up. right now i have 4 almost ready to go.. (well i have 3 in the carboys fermenting and 3 in kegs)

btw, how exactly are we doing this, meet up all on the same day about the same time?

did we get the final numbers yet? for this buy

Sounds great.

Check post 261 for the final numbers - request for quote is in - we are waiting on NCM for a response.

Good point about the swap - we would have to be in the same place at the same time to pass it all out. I guess when the payment is in and we know when the grain is being delivered, we can set a day and time for everyone to meet for pick up, and brew/yeast swap. So it is jhenderson rust stunsm and me on this one - Stunsm is working out some yeast swaps.

sounds great, im not in a huge rush to get my grain.. more or less the kegs, in about 2 weeks. im typically down for any day, but the 20th of may. i have gradimication that day.. again :/....

right now, saying that this swap is in about 2 weeks.

~dogfishhead 60 min
~smoked rye ipa
~brown ale (much like victory's nut brown, but a little different)
~ed worts pale ale (haus ale)

cidah, im going to give you as we discussed along time ago:
my very last bee cave heffe, and the bomber of my "arrogant bastard"

That sounds fantastic all around to me.

For you gents I think I have:

1. obsidian stout
2. Wruht 56 Porter
3. Blood Orange Hefe
4. Moose Drool (american brown)
5. Amarillo IPA
6. Pale Ale

And Rust - you are getting a bomber of my arrogant - as we discussed.

the only question i have for you guys, do you want more than one of the ones i can offer, to fill the voids in the six pack or are you ok with only receiving 4 brews?, and if so you that you want a double, just let me know off my list which one(s) you want doubles of.

cidah, im really looking forward to that amarillo ipa!!!, and obsidian stout!

how about you double up - that way it is an even steven swap. You know I of course would be interested in getting doubles of an IPA maybe dogfish, but let me know what works for you.

In actuality, you and I will do a sixer, plus a bomber. It will work out great - I plan on doing a tasting day for A.B. I have an extract version I saved, my all grain and your all grain. I will grab an arrogant from the store and line them all up. I know they will all be good beers, but I want to know how far off my memory is with the true AB flavor. So far the closest clone in my taste memory was the extract one, AHS clone.

so:
2 dogfishhead 60 min
1 smoked rye ipa
1 brown ale (much like victory's nut brown, but a little different)
1 ed worts pale ale (haus ale)[/B]
1 ed worts heffe
1 bomber arrogant
