This came from the head chef where she's a sauté chef. Don't know chit about Kombucha. I have heard it's great, and that it can be bad. Surely can't be any worse than my beer habit
The only way I could see it being bad is with over consumption. All things in moderation and whatnot. The acetic acid helps flush out all kinds of crap from your system, just like using vinegar to clean out a coffee maker or shower head. But our bodies need minerals for metabolism, bones, living... stick to about a pint a day max and you'll be fine.
