- Tasting Notes
- Pepper spices, fruitiness, lemon and lemongrass
Light, dry, easy to drink, effervescent, with some medium low peppery spice; the lemon-ish flavor of the Sorachi Ace hops melded nicely with the lemongrass tincture we added - the lemongrass wasn't distinct, just a part of the Saison flavor profile.
Grain Bill
9 lbs (76.6%) Pilsner
1 lb (8.5%) Munich 10L
1 lb (8.5%) Wheat Malt
12 oz (6.4%) Table Sugar
Hop Schedule
0.25 oz Sorachi Ace (13%) @ 25 minutes
0.25 oz Sorachi Ace (13%) @ 20 minutes
0.50 oz Sorachi Ace (13%) @ 15 minutes
0.50 oz Sorachi Ace (13%) @ 10 minutes
0.50 oz Sorachi Ace (13%) @ 5 minutes
At bottling, added a tincture we had made of lemongrass in vodka, to taste - not enough to make the lemongrass distinct, but rather to compliment the Saison and Sorachi Ace flavors.
