I recently made friends with the head brewer at my local brewery. Hung out for 5 hours today while they he brew his first New Zealand pilsner. I got there towards the end of the mash, unfortunately missing the decoctions. I’ll fix that next time!
Anyway as I was leaving he told me to take as many CASES of short fill cans as I wanted. I only took 2 but man what a score!
Probably not a big deal to many but this is all new to me. I have never lived close enough to a brewery to really hang out and get to know them this well.
