We have been putting in quite a lot of time in our search for the perfect conical for our small brewery (and doing a lot of research here on the forum).

The conical we choose has to be able to ferment 27 gallons of beer.
The conical has to be easy to handle and clean (therefore Blichmann is not a choice of ours).
...we would also like to be able to control the temperature of the fermentation (both cooling and heating).

The MoreBeer conical could be a choice – but the heating and cooling system seems a bit tedious to install.

Glacier Tanks has jacketed conicals which are pretty damn nice. But I can't seem to find a good system for both heating and cooling the water going into the jacket.

Putting the conicals in a temperature controlled fridge is not a choice either (we will have at least two conicals to start with, and probably four conicals later).

Any suggestions in regard of the above is very much welcomed!

Rather than a fridge, you could build a small insulated room that you use an a/c to cool and a heater to warm.

There's a guy on here in the DIY forum that built stainless immersion coils to go in the plastic conicals. You could adapt something like that. However, you still run into the problem of heating with his system though.

Thank you for your feedback!

We have considered this option since we have a separate fermentation room. The problem is that we will brew at least two different beers – and they ferment at totally different temperatures.

Is this for an actual brewery that your opening to make money or is your pico brewery for homebrewing?

Commercial brewery in the scale of a bigger home brewery. We are only going to brew about 100 litres per batch (max. 400 litres per month). We will start with 200 litres per month though.

We won't earn any money on this – we only hope not to lose too much money :)
