Ballast Point beers are not common here in Jacksonville at all. I must say that their Sculpin IPA is a really well balanced IPA. Definite hops presence without being a complete hop grenade, completely levels out the sweet fruity notes expressed in their choice of yeast for this one.

Any other Ballast Point beers worth checking out?

I like all the beers I have tried from Ballast.

The porter and IPA are very solid beers. I don't get many up here, but friends have sent me some.

you really can't go wrong with them. their year around line up is pretty solid but their limited releases are where they truly shine though. if you can find Tongue Buckler imperial red, Sea Monster Stout, Victory at sea Coffe vanilla imperial Porter, Dorado Double IPA... those are all damn good beers.
