Sanitising raisins?

I'm thinking about adding some raisins to the secondary fermetation of my mead, but i'm a bit in doubt if they in any way should sanitised or cleaned before?
 
Some just toss them in. You can pasteurize by holding them at 180° in water for ten minutes. There are other lower temperatures and pasteurization times.
 
If they're commercial raisins I've never seen anything about sanitizing them, so you should be good.
