Even with all the geekyness on this board, I’m not aware of having any archeology fans here ... although I may be whistling in the wind, I figured I post this anyway in case any here were familiar with his work.
The renown British archeologist Professor Mick Aston passed away a couple weeks ago suddenly at the age of 66 ... I’m seeing the news a bit late - (word crossing the pond by ship and all, no doubt)
For 19 years, Mick Aston was a central figure in the British archeological television series “Time Team” which we can see here in the States by way of Canadian over-the-air television if you are near the border and into that sort of retro television technology.
