I generally don't reuse yeast and almost never after high gravity beers, but I was curious about those yeasts designed to tolerate high alcohol, such as Belgian Giolden Strong.

Any thoughts on this?

Cheers!

Some think this stresses or kills off yeast. I've washed yeasts from 7.5% lagers, did a starter, and had no issues whatsoever. Drinking a Doppelbock right now that was re-pitched with a Dunkel Doppelbock yeast. It is clean and delicious.

Never tried it with a 10% Quad, not sure I'd risk such a costly beer for an experiment.
