Good evening folks. I just had my first swig of a Scottish 60/- that I thought was going to be under-hopped and just plain nasty. And yes my worst fears came true.
So can I rescue 5 gallons of under-hopped (read non-existent IBU's) beer that has already been through the primary and two weeks of keg conditioning?
The thought I had was that I should be able to re-introduce it as an aged wort into two or three gallons of mead must - and then instead of adding hops create a semi gruit with the whole thing. Perhaps some heather, sweet gale etc.
What do the wise folks on the forum think?
Many thanks in advance ....
