Fellow HBTers,
I’m thinking of making a red IPA w Imperial Gnome.
Im not sure why, but I’m thinking more of piney and spicy from the hops, as opposed to fruitier strains. On hand I have plenty of centennial, cascade and various noble hops. I do have a few other new school hops on hand as well.

I’m a bit out of my league as I’ve never used Gnome before and only make an IPA about once a year.

I’m thinking an og of 070ish and a standard red malt bill.

-Any recommendations on a hopping strategy that would play well w this Belgian strain?

Thanks for reading

Ok. I'm thinking more of a red ale w Gnome as opposed to an IPA hop bill.

For 5 gallons, OG 1.060 (I was thinking of 070 but my guess is that this strain will take it to below 010)
6grams Centennial @ 60 min
28grams Centennial @ 20 min
28grams Haltetau Mittelfruh @20 min
28grams of each Centennial and Hallertau Mittelfruh @ 2 min (I'll prob do a 20 min hop stand at 160f)

I'm using this as inspiration Recipe: Cannery Row West Coast Red Ale
I'll be using a very similar grain bill and just a small tweak to the hop bill.
Props to Josh Weikert. I've used his recipes quite a few times over the years and they have all been solid.
