Real deal ginger beer/ale

Hey there
I'm not much of a brew but more of a distiller but I'm trying to make something similar to Royale jamaican ginger beer (if anyone have tried it they know it's bloody good). Iv made a handful of ginger beers but just doesn't feel right.
What I'm after is thick mouth feel, Malty, and spicy not chilli spice but ginger
Any help would be amazing.

What base are you looking for? Amber, light lager, pale ale... it looks like RJGB belongs in the herbed/spiced category. Are you looking for a clone of that, or maybe a little heavier?
