Question for you Chicago area folks

I plan to be in Chicago for a Brewer-Cub game in August. Can anyone recommend a hotel that won't break the bank yet isn't gonna make me want to shove the dresser up against the door? I am not against taking the EL from the hotel to the game, so near the line would be good. Thanks!

You should go to hotels dot com and find a good deal on downtown hotel. they are all pretty close to subway. Just look for the area code to be 312.

What time is the game at? You can always get one a little outside Chicago and take the train in. It's not a bad ride.

As long as your in the city you should party down town. My vote is for downtown. The red line is easy to get to from any where. Or take a cab.

Bernie, there are two Hampton Inns downtown, one on Illinois and one on Monroe, I believe. Either would be convenient to the red line.
