Hi everyone.

I have a sachet of Youngs Beer Finings that I want to use to clear a 1 gallon ginger wine. If I don't use the whole sachet as it's for 5 gallons, can I re-seal it and use the rest at a later date?

Cheers all.

Not a clue. But most likly you can.

Young's Finings is made from Chitosan which I have never used as a fining agent. It shouldn't go "bad" as long as it's kept generally away from oxygen. I'd be interested to know how it works. Reviews seem decidedly mixed. I use gelatine myself and it works like a charm.
