I've seen them several times. Their best shows were in the 90's. All they tend to do now is just preach for minutes at a time between songs.

Haha Mike is definitely not in a rush to play the next song. Guttermouth is like that too, but a little less preachy and more sarcastic. both put on good shows.

As a side note on punk bands, some dudes from my HS were in a band called dfc, your user name reminded me of that. Cheers!

Grew listening to some punk bands. The Romones, The Misfits, Rancid. The thing that bothers be about the "punk" scene today is every band who makes it big is a sell out for whatever stupid reason. Green Day for instance. If you listen to their music over the years there is a change in their music not just for profit but because they get older. A bunch of 40 year old hardcore punk musicians is actually kind of sad. I have a cousin that plays guitar for the band so I guess I am biased but these guys are grown men. I can't see them sticking with how the band was during Kerplunk. I have actually grown up and don't even listen to punk anymore. It is amazing the way your tastes in music as well as the message in music change as you experience the real world.

:D Sweet.

I am missing one AMAZING show this weekend. SOIA, Gorilla Biscuits, and Youth of Today are playing in Cali. I live in SC. This really, really sucks.

I had a buttload of points on amazon.com so I decided to get some "new" tunes.

Killer Blanks - Blanks 77
Unmerry Melodies - Bigwig
C.B.H. - Blanks 77
So This Is Freedom? - The Unseen
Self Titled - Bad Brains
Pick Your King - Poison Idea
Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death - Dead Kennedys
A Match & Some Gasoline - Suicide Machines
Revenge on Society - Blood for Blood
Stay Asleep - Bigwig

I gravitate toward the skate punk genre more than any other. I also booked and played a show with Bigwig back around 1999-2000. Those guys rock.

DK is really solid too. I have just now started watching some of the youtube vids from them live and some studio stuff. I used to play the hell outa give me convenience or give me death till the tape broke!

I'm rocking out to these guys right now.

They're friends of mine. One of them actually posts here...

Curious if anyone else has seen this. Interesting combinations. I don't think most of em work two well, but there's a couple pretty amazing tracks there. The Public Enemy/Black Flag and M.O.P/Op Ivy ones I thought were great.

This is completely unrelated, but continually seeing your avatar made me pull out my bullet belt and start wearing it again. It's a belt of nickel plated .308's and I'm sure I freak some people out when I wear it while cruising on my bobber. :D

BTW, certain videos don't show up now with the board change. If you edit your post and delete the url tags the videos will show up in posts again.

It's just an '06 Suzuki LS650. 4 stroke one cylinder. The piston is the size of a coffee can. :D It's got plenty of low end torque.

The pompahawk cracks me up. Pick one. Either you want a pompadour or a mohawk. Combining them is silly.

Hey, more power to him. That said, I'm not rushing out to get one.

My wife keeps egging me to grow a pompadour. Met an old skin at a Toots and the Maytals show a while back who had a really nice one. Skinhead retirement plan indeed.

Nice bike ill have to get a pic of mine up. I want to bob out a bike to but living in the city all I got is the side walk to work on and only room for one bike. A friend of mine wants to start building a car so we might end up renting a garage...got my fingers crossed and eyes open for a good project.

Nice. I'd love to see pics of your bike. Good luck on renting a garage and building a bike.

Not punk but going to see Metallica tomorrow. They are playing the full ride the lightning album. Im really looking forward to suicidal again (been a couple years), but more this band. Friend in Portland turned me onto them and their videos are funny **** too. Also got a extra ticket if anyone is in the area!
