Will 1 can of frozen juice concentrate carb a 4.5 gallon batch of cider? I planned to bottle today, but I didn't realize that I only have a couple ounces of priming sugar left.... I've read a few posts about using frozen concentrate, but it seems to have mixed reviews, and I'm not quite sure how much 1 can compares to ounces of sugar? The wife wants it pretty carbed, so I'd rather lean on the side of high carb versus light if possible. Maybe 2.5-3 units...

The can will tell you how many grams of sugar per serving and how many servings, so you can calculate the total. make certain you only use the sugars number, because not all of the carbohydrates are fermentable.

Quick follow-up.... how much is too much for a beer bottle?

My cider is down near 1.000, so now I plan to backsweeten with about 1/2 lb of lactose and 4 oz. of raspberry flavoring, and then prime and bottle.

If I go with one can of juice, it'll be about 174 grams of sugar.... or about 6.13 oz. Since the wife wants it highly carbed, can I just go with the whole can, or am I risking bottle bombs? I'm at about 4.75 gallons after I looked again.

Otherwise, I figure if I went with about 3/4 of the can, I'd be down around 4.5 oz... which is where I planned to be with priming sugar.
