I apologise in advance if this is not technically the correct thread. I wasn't sure exactly where this should go.
I have recently started toying with what I like to call 'alternative hopping' i.e. all flavor and aroma hops after flameout, while still using the 60 minute bittering addition.
The latest batch I brewed I guess I really screwed up the IBU calculations as the bitterness is nowhere near where I need it to be (definitely not a water issue). I have some CO2 hop extract (non-iso) and I was flirting with the idea of boiling some in water to add to the keg to up the IBUs.
Does anyone have any experience in this area? I am aware that there are other products for post fermentation bitterness additions but I live in Korea and those options are not available to me.
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
