Im about to brew my first partial-mash batch, and was wondering if anyone can provide pointers that may not come with the actual kit. I have read through the thread detailing the basics of partial mashes and my only concern is that they suggest transferring to a secondary after 2 weeks, but I dont have a secondary at the moment...will that cause much issue if I choose to simply leave it in primary for 4 weeks?

It is just an oatmeal stout kit from northernbrewer and comes with directions, was just wondering if some more experienced brewers had any suggestions that may not be taken into account with the kit.

-- 1 lb Briess Dark dry malt extract
HOPS & FLAVORINGS

find the partial mash pictorial and instructions on this site and you'll be golden, Deathbrewer did a great job.

You dont' need a secondary by the way but 2 pots big enough is really nice.
