Has anyone had issues with their Perlick Perl 525SS leaking out of the top? I tried putting a new o-ring around the little white plastic part as well and it didn't help at all. Has anyone had issues with this? This is when the faucet is closed. Trying to figure out if there is a way to fix, and/or get recommendations on a new faucet.

I want a new faucet anyway to add another tap to my kegerator, so I will either be buying one or two new ones. I know I want to go stainless steel again but haven't purchased a new faucet in a while so I am wondering what the new favorite faucets out there are?

Thanks!

Did you replace both of the rings? or just the top one? there is a ring that goes above and below that "white plastic part" or the bearing cup.

The 525's don't have any plastic parts. Do you have the newer 600 series?

You're wrong, some 525's have a plastic bearing cup, some have a metal cup.

Correct. The original, never-indicted 525 had a plastic bearing cup and a faucet lever without a square section - and significantly different O-rings from the later versions with the stainless bearing cup and square sectioned lever. Which have been prone to leaks...

Cheers!

I only replaced the top o-ring, maybe the bottom on is the problem? Don't even know how to get to that.

To get to the lower O-ring you unscrew the faucet handle, back off the collar (#8), unscrew the bonnet (#7) from the faucet body, and pull the faucet lever, bearing cup and upper #2 O-ring and the rest of the upper parts straight up and out. The lower #2 O-ring will be left sitting in the bore.

And, fwiw, leaks bubbling up are usually from the lower #2 O-ring. The upper #2 doesn't actually seal anything, it appears to just cushion the bearing cup...

Cheers!

Lower o ring was there and didn't need to be replaced, but I applied some keg lube to it and replaced the upper o ring and it is no longer leaking. Thanks guys
