Is it ok to store my sacks of grains in my jeep until I need to open them, if there's a chance they'll freeze?

I've read on here that freezing the grain is actually good as it will kill off any barley weevil larvae that might be in the grain. I have done it before in my chest freezer for a couple days for this purpose. The beer from that grain tastes great with not bad effects.

So what if they're still in the unopened bag from North Country Malt... I assume this would be water proof?

You have no small, grain-eating critters in the area?

None that can get into my locked Jeep. Most of the hooligans in the area prefer weed over grain, and the bums are only interested in the post-fermented grain liquid. :ban:

Mice LOVE vehicles, especially one with grain inside.

Put the grain into a varmint proof container-grain is a mice magnet and your seats are asking for getting eaten.
