What Darwin and the rest forget is how the Pats used to be just like the Jets. There is no amount of embarrassment that a Jets fans had experienced that a Pats fan didn't endure first.

Retard ownership... Check

Have to play in someone else's home... Check

Botched drafts... Check

Occasional great players surrounded by tools... Check

Fans set the stands on fire during a game...

Fans get electrocuted carrying goal posts out if the stadium ...

Opened up their new stadium without checking it see the toilets work which promptly fail and overflow en mass...

Owner ends up living in the press box for a few weeks while getting a divorce...

Wait... Those last few didn't happen to your teams? You couldn't go on for another hour, no sweat, listing the horrible things back then that made your team who they are today?

Then STFU. We've prepaid for our arrogance.
 
There was a change in philosophy that made our teams better: Not getting attached to fan favorites. This came down from ownership and coaching. Unfortunately, it's not a sport. It's a business.

Who said anything about being a victim? Once the team was owned by a guy who wouldn't put up with fools, which is why he was a successful businessman able to buy an NFL franchise to begin with, things changed forever. The Woody Johnstons and Jim Irsays of the football world would do well to take note.
