So I was wondering what everyone likes better, oak dowels or chips, for the effect in beer. Also has anyone done both and could you really tell a difference in the two. I've always used cubes for the purpose of adding oak and then also to keep a colony going for for the next one.
Just checking what everyone's thoughts are on this practice. Also how do you do it Dowels, oak cubes, chips, barrels. What toast do you use and what are the times.
I'm just trying to get a little database of other aspects of brewing sours. The extras that people might have questions on.

Thanks
-Ryan
