Hey there! New brewer from Green Bay here.
I've played around with the idea for a while, but I finally gave in and bought a home brew kit and some books. I'm looking forward to trying this out. I'm sure I'll have a LOT of questions as I go.
I got myself a Mr. Beer kit, and I've read that it's 'okay', but a good kit to start with. I live in an apartment anyway, so size was sort of a concern. Once I get the hang of it, I'll probably MAKE room somewhere for a better set up. :cross:

Also, any of you guys have opinions on these books?:
-How to Brew: Everything You Need To Know To Brew Beer Right The First Time
-Alaskan Bootlegger's Bible

+1 on John Palmer's Book, I just finished it.

Also, if you haven't seen it already (which i'm sure you have) House of Home moved into their new place not too long ago. I've only been there once, but it looks like a great shop!

Welcome to the boards.
One of the best books I've seen is "The Complete Joy of Homebrewing Third Edition" by Charlie Papazian link

Good luck with the first brew, you'll soon outgrow Mr. Beer and go on to 5 gallon batches.
