New SS shanks: cleaning before use

Hey,

I just bought some SS perlick faucets and krome dispense SS shanks. I'm wondering about cleaning before use. What do you think: a good hot oxyclean soak, followed by Star San?

Sounds like solid plan of attack. When I installed my new faucet & shank, I was also doing new lines and disconnects. I put a little pbw in the keg and ran i through, followed up with a hot water rinse and some star san. Your way doesn't waste any CO2

That's what I do, soak in PBW, rinse off in hot water, then rinse again in Star-San.
