Picked up a starter kit a week ago from liquid hobby when i was in SC. grabbed a kit he had put together, pilsner light extract kit. had a nice time boiling everything up the other night, but sure was a lot of cleaning work.
i've really enjoyed reading all the informative information here. a real big thanks to work such as "Pro/Cons this vs. that" and similar stickies and posts.
i personally have several hobbies (thanks to a very forgiving wife). rc airplanes/helis, blackpowder rifles, and aquariums. so far i really like brewing. i'm mainly interested in upgrading to a good kettle. definitely aluminum, for cost, but i can't find a 32 or 40 qt for less than $30.
anyway, really liking this, hoping for the best on this first batch.
and any suggestions on what i can do special for when i rack to secondary? like a hops to add or something.
