I brewed my honey brown lastnight, and just got home and its about ready to explode. What do I do?

Blowoff tube.

1/2 inch tubing, sanitized and a small bucket of sani. Slips right over your air lock.

Although that tube is too long, and it's seems to be missing the bucket.

If you're using a bucket, get a sanitized sauce pot and scoop out a good portion of the foamy krausen. that will buy you some time to rig a blow off tube.

Relax, your beer is not ruined. Get a blowoff system ASAP. I made this mistake when I started brewing a couple of years ago. S-locks and three pieces should really only be used during secondary IMHO...

I have it in a bucket. I emptied the airlock out and it seems to be fine for now. Should I still get a hose and fix up?

yes you should hook it up. Then you'll have it when you need it again. She isn't done yet.

this is what happened to me last week. I rigged up a blow off with my siphon tube and it was fine for the next few days.
