need a dip tube

I have a mega pot 1.2 10 gallon where I replaced the included bulkhead with one from brewers hardware.

My issue is the fpt opening on the bulkhead inside the pot is quite some ways from the bottom and it causes me to loose about a half gallon or more.

My blichman pot has a 90 degree bend stainless pipe going to the bottom of the pot.

Where can I get something like that for my megapot?

How far from the bottom is the bulkhead?

I have a Spike kettle and the opening is about 1.5" from the bottom. I use one of these and it works great.

Probably leaves 6 oz behind at most. You'd also need a threaded nipple to connect the elbow to the bulkhead.

I just used copper fittings on my Spike pot. Threaded fitting into bulkhead, short pipe,90, pipe to bottom all soldered together except for threaded end. Cut it extremely close to the bottom and actually have to spin it just a little so there is enough opening to drain the pot and it will only leave a few ounces in the kettle.

I too have a Megapot and replaced the bulkhead w/ a 90 degree elbow and repurposed the 5/8" barb that came with the pot. I use camlocks on the outlet valve.

This dip tube allows complete draining if desired.

Thanks for the link. Something to consider although I'm happy enough with my setup as is for now. Upgrades are always fun though.
