I'm brewing up a Belgian IPA tomorrow and want to give it a name pertaining to Julius Caesar, given the date. What say you? My ideas:

Ides of March IPA
Et Tu Brute Belgian
Backstabber Belgian

All good ones!

What about something like Imperium Lumen Zythum? Imperial Pale (Light, since pale is not translated in Latin) Beer in Latin?

Or Carpe Zythum Belgian IPA...Seize the Beer. :)

I like the Ides of March idea. Go with the Latin though: Idus Martiae, gives it a real continental feel.

Just for my own curiosity, why did you use 'zythum' instead of 'cerevisia'?

The source I find shows 'zythum' as a term only used by Pliny in his Natural History as a malt-liquor from Egypt. 'Cerevisia' is the word used throughout the Latin period.

Not to argue though. I'm just curious.

Also, for pale I would use 'Alba/Albus'.
