Hi guys,

I am currently looking to purchase a mid-size tank for my kegging setup i am building. I wondering what the difference between N2/CO2 Mixed Gas Tanks and CO2 Tanks is? The mixed gas tank also has a CGA 580 valve, will this be an issue? And can i fill a mixed gas tank with only CO2? It is composed of steel, not aluminum.

Thanks,
Drew

The biggest issue I see is not being able to fill a CGA 580 valved tank with CO2 because it will (ok it might - I haven't checked) not accept the CGA320(?) from the filling station. If the tank is rated for the pressure of CO2 you could swap out the tank valve but that would be a B***h every time you wanted to swap between mix and plain.
