So, I have a little "joke" that I like to play on my homebrew tasting public. Whenever I brew a pilsner or golden lager, I fill a few green bottles and set them aside as "imports." Sometimes I'll expedite the process by putting them in the window sill for 1/2 hour. 
I'll call it my Heineken clone. 
So, in all seriousness, does anyone know if the Stella/Heine/Grolsch/Molsen brands intentionally put their beer into green bottles because skunk has become an expected flavor in imports? Otherwise, why would professional brewers, knowing the flavor impact on a light-struck beer, knowingly put their beer into green bottles?
I've always wondered, but I've also wondered if putting Loewenbrau in brown bottles would make someone say, "Hey, this tastes like Miller!" :cross:
